Description
The Wasaga Beach Public Library is seeking an energetic and self-motivated team player to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Senior Library Aide.
General Responsibilities: Reporting to both the Public Services Coordinator and Technical Services Coordinator, the Senior Library Aide provides customer service and community information to the general public while performing general library routines and assigned tasks that support collection management.
Qualifications:
• Completion of a Secondary School Diploma;
• Experience working in a public library setting an asset;
• Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for working with the public;
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively;
• Proficient computer skills and experience with variety of computer programs and software;
• Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends is required;
• Ability to provide an appropriate criminal reference check – vulnerable sector upon hire;
• Ability to work with and contribute positively to a service oriented team
