Description
The Town of Wasaga Beach is now accepting resumes for summer seasonal employment (May until September 2023) for the position of Records Management Assistant.
Responsibilities for this position will include providing technical and routine administrative work in support of the coordination and maintenance of the Town-wide records management program. This position also acts as a clerical assistant to the Clerk’s department.
Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to those registered in a full-time post-secondary program (ie. Business Administration, or related discipline) in the next academic year;
- Experience in municipal government, in a related field;
- Experience in records management practices an asset;
- Possess exceptional interpersonal, administrative, communication, organizational, time management, and public relations skills;
- Demonstrated analytical skills to identify and resolve problems;
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and ability to learn other software programs;
- Ability to work with diverse groups toward a common vision and take a participatory approach to information management;
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, integrity, tact and discretion in handling matters of a confidential nature and maintain confidentiality;
- Demonstrated skills working in a team environment as well as working independently;
- Ability to lift boxes up to 40 lbs;
- Possess acceptable Police Records Check and drivers’ abstract along with a valid Class G Ontario Drivers’ licence.
