The Town of Wasaga Beach’s Recreation, Events and Facilities Department is seeking a part-time Gymnastics Coache for its program.  Candidates should be energetic and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for the sport and working with children and youth. 

Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, the successful candidates will be responsibilities for assisting with skill assessment, skill development and teaching, individual and group supervision, lesson plan implementation, progress tracking, evaluation and parent communication / relations. 

• Must be 18+ years of age;
• Implement and deliver course/program curriculum;
• Supervise program participants;
• Minimum Completion of Old NCCP Level 1 Technical OR Completion of NCCP Foundations Program;
• Must be registered with Gymnastics Ontario as a Recreational Coach;
• Maintain communication with program participants and/or students;;
• Provide exceptional customer service and promote town of Wasaga beach recreation programs;
• Maintain sport, coaching or instructing accreditation and good standing with accrediting organization;
• Ensure safety protocol is followed and provide a safe environment for program participants;
• Other duties as assigned;

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Clean vulnerable sector criminal records check;
• Gymnastics or related experience (i.e. cheerleading/dance) considered an asset;
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C from an accredited organization, or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire;
• Minimum Completion of Old NCCP Level 1 Technical OR Completion of NCCP Foundations Program or willing to obtain;
• High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or Sport Certification, considered an asset;
